Airset Sends Reminder Text Messages to Cell Phone

I have mentioned AirSet before a as a great web based calendar and contact manager that will sync with Outlook and your PDA.

Well, another feature that AirSet has is the ability to send reminders of upcoming appointments by e-mail or as a text message to your cell phone. E-mail really does not do me much good since Outlook will give me a reminder if I am on the computer and I may go an hour or two or more during the day without checking my mail.

The text messaging did not work with my U.S. Cellular service when I first set up AirSet a couple months ago. Then the other day I was playing with the new Google calendar and when I tested their text messaging it worked! So, I went back to the AirSet preferences page and told it to send me another confirmation number - and it worked too!!

Now, I can set for any appointment I want a reminder to pop to my cell phone - so no matter where I am or what I am doing I am reminded that I have something else I need to get to soon!
