Poor Car – Sad Wife – Branch damages our new vehicle

Branch that fell

My DW‘s 2005 Expedition was wacked pretty hard by a branch that fell from the 40 year old maple tree in our yard.

Door Damage

After temperatures between 95 and 99 degrees yesterday afternoon, the wind kicked up in the evening blowing dust and any other object that was not tied down. The wind was clocked at 58 mph. One of the top branches of one of our trees fell victim to the wind and in its fall to the ground took out the driver’s side of our Expedition.

Looks like the roof, driver’s front and rear doors, and the front fender were all damaged. I have called the insurance company and now it is time to get in line at a local body shop.
